It’s been long agreed upon that excess carbohydrates throw off the body’s homeostasis (natural self-balance). The following is a list of some of sugar’s consequences from a variety of medical journals and other scientific publications.
Please remember that “sugar” is represented by many common foods. (The more processed they are – the worse they are. If it comes in a box, jar, or can it’s definitely processed.) Bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, corn, cereals, pancakes/waffles, alcoholic drinks are a few examples.
Corn syrup and fructose are also common sugars.
Make sure you’re getting good proteins, fats, and plenty of vegetables as your base, as well as some beans/legumes, nuts, unprocessed whole grains, and fruit.
