Why Dr. Gale uses Applied Kinesiology.

Los Angeles, California

Dr. Goodheart was the founder of Applied Kinesiology.

He was one of the greatest doctors to ever walk the planet. Between himself and the many doctors he taught, they have gone on to heal countless people from health problems that no other doctors were able to help.

Dr. Goodheart was the very first Chiropractor to be on the 1980 Olympic Medical Team. Not a position you get without being an amazing doctor and being able to heal people quickly.

Dr. Gale has followed in Dr. Goodheart’s footsteps, studying and specializing in the works of Applied Kinesiology. You will very quickly be able to see and comprehend how this technique works so that we can ask questions of your body to determine how to improve your functional capacity. It will become very clear and evident as you can perceive how your body responds.

The genius of Dr. Goodheart was 2 fold. First, he studied from the best healers and doctors in the world and was able to synthesize that information into a systematic approach to helping people. Secondly, he had an amazing ability to take information he learned and figure out ways to apply it to help people. He took everything doctors learn in anatomy, biochemistry, neurology, immunology, pathology, biomechanics, psychology etc, and brings it alive in ways that allows us to apply it to help more people that even before. He sees connections that other people have yet to make, and changed healing and medicine forever.

Applied Kinesiology | What An Applied Kinesiologist Can Do For You!

What if there was a way to determine exactly what your body needed to be as healthy as it can, a treatment that was specifically designed and implemented for your own bodies personal requirements???

Not just the same old 4 minute visit to the doctor’s office for your medication or your adjustment, or having guesswork done on your nutritional needs (if they even do nutritional assessments) wouldn’t it be great to visit a professional who was trained in knowing a wide range of options available to help you to achieve optimum health? Someone who assessed each person as a whole and not just by looking at one or two parts of the body?

What if there was a specialization that took the best from every profession and had a non-invasive system of determining what you needed to become as healthy, vibrant and energetic as you can become? Applied Kinesiology (AK) is just that.

Applied Kinesiology is an interdisciplinary approach to healthcare, which draws together core elements of complimentary therapies, creating a more unified approach to the diagnosis and treatment of functional illnesses. Functional assessment measures are used in posture, gait analysis, manual muscle testing, range of motion, static palpation, motion analysis, and more.

These used with standard methods of clinical history, physical exam findings, etc., develop a clinical impression of the unique physiological condition of each patient including an impression of the patients functional physiological status. This can then be used as a guide to the application of natural therapeutic therapies.

When a muscle tests less than ideal, it is determined why it is not properly functioning and then the approach that will best eliminate the weakness and help the patient is applied. Therapies utilized can include specific joint manipulations or mobilizations, various myofascial therapies, cranial techniques, and various reflex procedures. By applying the appropriate therapy, the muscle tests strong  the postural distortion will change, and the body will be able to regenerate itself.

It is the physician’s diagnostic workup that determines the final diagnosis.

Procedures are administered to achieve the following examination and therapeutic goals:

· Provide an interactive assessment of the functional health status of an individual which is not equipment intensive, but does emphasize the importance of correlating findings with standard diagnostic procedures.
· Restore postural balance, correct gait impairment, improve range of motion.
· Restore normal neurologic organization to achieve proper control of body function.
· Achieve homeostasis of endocrine, immune, digestive, and other visceral functions.
· Intervene earlier in degenerative processes to prevent or delay or prevent the onset of frank pathological processes.

AK is used as an interactive assessment tool, which enables the practitioner to use an individual’s nervous system to interpret information about the function, or lack thereof, in an individual of many key areas. Specifically, the identification of cumulative stress in the neuromusculoskeletal system includes an examination of structural alignment, ligamentous integrity, and muscle balancing. Strategies to promote balance and stability are used. Other goals include reduction of premature biological aging and functional neuromuscular evaluation aimed at strategies to reduce cumulative stress and up-regulate neuromuscular, organs, immune, digestive and endocrine function.
