| What's a Subluxation? Dr. Stan Gale The nervous system controls and coordinates all functions and tissues in the body. Therefore, interference with the nervous system will have a broad effect on one's health. The nervous system starts with the brain, and passes down through your spine. Then it branches off between individual spinal vertebrae and allows communication (Life Energy!) between the brain and every cell in your body, as well as allowing communication between every organ, gland, muscle, etc. up to your brain. To be healthy it is essential that your nervous system functions properly and free from any interference. Subluxations occur when stress negatively impacts the nervous system. One source of stress is mechanical, as by trauma, posture habits, or weak muscles. Another cause is chemical, as by toxicity, deficiency, dehydration, etc. Yet another source is mental - the mind surely affects the body. Subluxations can cause interference to the nervous system at any point along the spine where the nerves exit. This can adversely affect the function of various parts of your body, and ultimately your health. In standard "Health Care", the real source(es) of symptoms are rarely looked for. Instead, one's symptoms are simply matched with drugs. Example: If somebody is found to have high blood pressure, it's expected medical practice to prescribe blood pressure drugs to suppress the blood pressure. But why is the blood pressure high in the first place? What internal stress is the body responding to? Real "Health Care" begins with looking for and discovering any and all departures from true health and correcting them naturally.
